Facilities

Stanage Ward is based at the Michael Carlisle Centre. The ward is accessible on foot, by a number of public transport routes, there are railings to park a bicycle or there is also a car park on-site. If you choose to drive, please leave plenty of time to find a space. You can plan your route on Google Maps here.

All of our service users have access to laundry facilities and lockable storage.

We recommend that service users do not bring high value items such as laptops or tablets onto the ward, and do so at their own risk.

Visiting times are subject to change if there are infectious outbreaks, such as COVID-19.

We welcome visitors to the ward from 4pm to 8.30pm Monday to Friday. On weekends and Bank Holidays you can visit between 10am and 8.30pm.

We encourage visitors to avoid entering the dining room between 12pm and 1pm and 5pm and 6pm, except in special circumstances, for example, where it may assist in meeting an individual’s dietary requirements.

Children are welcome to visit and a family room is provided for such visits, however, please inform the nurse in charge if children are present on the ward. Children remain the responsibility of the adult who accompanies them onto the ward.
