The latest in a series of developments to our environments is taking place on Stanage ward.

While still a building site, these are the foundations for what will be another modern, therapeutic space for our service users.

Just like Burbage ward, which was refurbished by our therapeutic environments and capital teams, the area has been designed with safety, dignity and comfort in mind for both our service users and staff.

And just like Burbage ward, Stanage will no longer have a seclusion room. Instead we will install a de-escalation space with clinically-proven calming facilities and technology.

Once Stanage reopens it will allow planned transformation work on Maple ward to take place.

This work is taking place alongside our efforts to build a brand new Health Based Place of Safety at the Longley Centre.
