New Mind:Set podcast episode on lived experience in research

The latest episode of SHSC’s Mind:Set podcast is now available for you to listen and learn about lived experience involvement in research at the Trust.

In the episode, ‘better evidence, better care’, we hear from four members of the lived experience research partnership (LERP).

The LERP is a group of people with an interest in research and lived experience of mental health. Together they help support our research development unit to ensure that coproduction and the voices of people with lived experience are at the heart of our research work.

In the podcast, Ellie, Emily, Gabby and Steve discuss:

  • SHSC’s research development unit and its work
  • Lived experience involvement in research and its benefits
  • Ellie’s role as a dedicated lived experience research ambassador and the progress of lived experience involvement
  • The LERP and how to get involved

You can listen to the episode in all the usual places:

This is the fifth episode of our podcast, after previous episodes looked at physical health’s links to mental health, the history of mental health care in Sheffield, eating disorders and body image, and the 75th birthday of the NHS.
