Unfortunately, there are long waiting times to be seen at our service. We understand that this can be distressing and challenging. We can provide support to people waiting to start treatment via our peer support workers, and our partner, Gendered Intelligence.

If you are transferring from another gender clinic you may be seen sooner, depending on how long you have already been waiting. This cannot be guaranteed, however.

We are sorry for any distress caused by removing the waiting times from our website. Please bear with us while we work on bringing you a new sustainable way to communicate our waiting times.

We hope to return these to the website in the near future.

Individual waiting times are variable. Unfortunately we cannot give specific times for individual waits. Please do not contact the clinic to enquire about waiting times as we cannot provide any more information than is provided here.

If you have received confirmation that your referral has been accepted we will not remove you from the list. Please keep us updated of any changes to your contact details.

You can update us with changes to your contact details either by emailing porterbrook@shsc.nhs.uk or calling on 0114 2716671.
