Valued Team SHSC member Kirsty Micklethwaite has won a prestigious award from South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System, being recognised as our 'rising star' for 2022.

Fittingly, Kirsty received her award on World Administration Day on Tuesday 26 April.

Kirsty, the Administration Manager for the Clinical Directorates at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, was recognised at a glitzy ceremony in Sheffield City Hall's ball room.

Her nomination said: "Kirsty has worked as part of our team for 18 years and she shows up every day as though it was her first; she’s energetic, open minded, keen to learn and support.

"She's a great team player and a compassionate leader of administrators that span across both clinical directorates, who collectively support a large group of staff and services that  deliver care to nearly 20,000 service users."

Greg Hackney, Head of Service, said about Kirsty: "She is a super person, brilliant team player, lovely to be around and nothing ever appears undoable!"

Reflecting on World Administration Day, Sally Hockey, HR business partner, said: "We have an amazing 200+ strong team of people in administration and clerical roles across Team SHSC who provide superb support to clinical teams every single day, without whom we couldn’t provide the service and care we do."
