Congratulations to our latest cohort of Trainee Nursing Associates on qualifying with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, becoming Registered Nurse Associates.
Jacqueline Rescorle, Schela Muakana and Luke Bennett have recently completed the two year Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) programme.
They started at SHSC in March 2020 in the hope of starting their programme, however this was deferred to October 2020 due to COVID-19.
Tracy Wear, Placement Quality Facilitator, said: "All three TNAs continued in our employment through that period and worked hard on the wards to support our teams and service users at such a difficult time.
"This can’t have been easy, working as a new employee in those unprecedented times.
"The trainees eventually started their programme, mainly consisting of virtual learning with placements in our partner organisations with high rates of COVID-19.
"Throughout this they remained committed to the programme and succeeding in their journey.
"Thank you to Luke, Schela and Jacqui for their commitment and good luck with your future careers!"
