This week our Ethnically Diverse Staff Network Group delivered hampers to teams across SHSC in celebration of Black History Month.
All the snacks and drinks included in the hampers were international and included the Nigerian drink Supermalt, plantain crisps, coconut peanuts and chin-chin - a biscuit snack made with wheat and sugar.
Dr Jamilla Flaherty, chair of the Ethnically Diverse staff network group, put the idea in motion and personally went out to buy and package the information and took part in some of the deliveries too.
Jenny Hall took the hampers to sites in the south of the city and Phil Jonas, who secured the funding for these hampers from Unison Sheffield Community Health branch, made deliveries in the city's north.
