We are proud to support people to study for apprenticeships.

And since 2017 more than 100 people have started an apprenticeship with us. Everyone who works for us has the opportunity to study a range of varied apprenticeships.

National Apprenticeship Week is currently running and we have been hosting a series of events to tell staff about the options open to them and give more information about the benefits of studying for an apprenticeship with us.

Daniel Bennett and Brooke Kelly are currently undertaking an apprenticeship with SHSC. Daniel is taking part in an Association for Project Management apprenticeship and Brooke is doing a People Professional (CIPD) level five course.

Daniel really appreciates the secured time he gets during the busy working week to enhance his professional development. By studying for an apprenticeship he has gained extra knowledge which has helped him to feel more confident at work and be better at doing his job. 

Brooke uses the practical knowledge she has gained through her apprenticeship to adapt to a new role she has started as a HR advisor. She is learning on the course and feels more confident in her role.
