SHSC doctors to take strike action

We have received notice from the British Medical Association (BMA) of planned national strike action by junior doctors from 7am on Thursday 27 June until 7am on Tuesday 2 July.

Our doctors and all our staff are working together to keep giving care to our service users and make sure they are safe.

Junior doctors from our organisation will be striking, but our services are still running.

If you have an appointment with us, we are asking you to still attend unless we have contacted you to rearrange it.

Regardless of any strike action taking place, if you need urgent medical care please continue to come forward as normal, especially in an emergency or in life-threatening cases. If you need medical help or advice, go to NHS 111 online unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should still call 999.

The NHS remains open. At Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, we are open for business too. If you are in a mental health crisis, please make sure you get the help you need.
