Current volunteer opportunities available
Elderly residential setting – Sheffield S14 and S35 areas
Residents live in a lovely environment with their own personal areas. The managers are eager to support volunteers who can offer their assistance between the hours of 10am and 7pm. Obviously they are not expecting any one person to do the full hours so have asked for a range of volunteers to help out during the busy day time. This may involve reading with residents, doing an activity such as drawing, playing a game, craft work, coffee and chat, life story work, singing songs in group work etc.
These projects have places available in several areas of Sheffield from designing to planting. Some work requires an artist’s touch for that little bit of difference.
Duties will involve basic office skills such as answering the telephone, meeting and greeting visitors, filing, printing, scanning and some basic computer skills for faxing etc. Volunteers in some office roles may be offered a Trust e-mail account.
We are always seeking new opportunities for volunteering positions within the Trust, so if you can play an instrument, have any knowledge of floristry, have an interest in finance department or are able to product posters using computer software (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel etc.) you could be involved in opening that new opportunity.
