Top marks for the Trust in PLACE results for 2018

20th August 2018

The Trust has placed among the highest organisations in the country in the latest Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) for 2018.

PLACE assessments are an annual review of the non-clinical aspects of NHS care environments. The assessments are completed by teams of staff and members of the public, also known as patient assessors. Each assessment team is made up from at least fifty percent service users.

We've continued to build on our excellent results in 2017, and we're delighted to announce that we're well above the national average in every area assessed, and improved on last year's results in all but one area.

Overall we received eight perfect scores of 100% which included:

  • Cleanliness at Firshill Rise, Forest Close, Forest Lodge and Grenoside Grange.
  • Ward Food at Firshill Rise and Forest Close.
  • Condition, Appearance and Maintenance at Forest Close.
  • Disability at Forest Lodge.
