Arts and Wellbeing

We’re in the process of preparing for our third annual Arts Festival which will take place between 08 and 19 October.

This year’s theme is ‘pride’ which is very relevant for us this year as the NHS celebrates its 70th birthday.

There are lots of exciting events planned at various sites across the city.  Our calendar of events is now available below:

This is a great opportunity for us all to come together and use our creativity to celebrate the things we’re proud of.  View our online gallery here.

You can share anything creative as part of the festival. It could be anything from a drawing, painting or sculpture, to sewing, poetry or photography and we’ll put it in our online gallery.

Send your digital images to arts.festival@shsc.nhs.uk (maximum file size 10MB), preferred formats jpeg, png, word or PDF.

All art is copyright.

Please fill in the consent form for the work to be shown in the online gallery on our website.

We’ll try and include everyone’s submissions. If there’s a big response we might need to limit the number of images per person.

As part of the SHSC Arts Festival we’re planning to mark World Mental Health Day with an afternoon of poetry, and we’d love for you to join us.

When: Wednesday 10 October
Time: 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Where: Virgin Money Lounge, Sheffield

On the day you’ll hear from Debjani Chatterjee MBE and a whole host of other local artists and poets.

We’d love for you to join us, and if you’d like to share a poem on the day that’d be great.

To find out more about taking part just email caroline.turner@shsc.nhs.uk
